German weekly magazine ‘Der Spiegel’ announced on 19 December 2018 that their reporter Claas Relotius had falsified a number of stories in the past years. This was uncovered by his colleague Juan Moreno after he worked together with Relotius on the story ‘Jaegers Grenze’ (Jaeger’s border’).
